Brunch at Sunsetters Behind Daytona Beach

Following in true fashion I have visited Sunsetters in Daytona Beach more then once.
I even snuck a few of our food spies in for a sneak peek for brunch and then I went in myself as if I needed convincing.

I tried the the Shrimp and Grits, yes I’m a spicy grits snob and the dish had the right amount of Salt and Spice a healthy amount of Smoky Andouille Sausage and locally caught shrimp. Oh don’t forget the Cheddar Cheese, yes the Cheddar Cheese melted and mixed in with the Cajun flavored sauce and a touch of green onion for brightness. Each bite leaves you wanting more.
Next up was the Fried Chicken and Waffles absolutely perfectly executed Crispy Sweet Salty with a bit of Raspberry Relish at the end that added the sour. What an incredible plate of food. Thinking Southern cooking has arrived in Daytona at this point and then the Jalapeno syrup kicks in. I swoon.
Wow I’m thinking, I am eating this while sitting on a deck overlooking the Halifax River. The perfect view.
Anthony Bourdain eat your heart out.
Okay Okay!!! but wait there’s more, Seafood Eggs Benedict with crab and local shrimp, lots of crab and lots of Benedict I mean Hollandaise sauce, delicious sauce with perfectly poached eggs. Sous Vide?
As one of my tests I always love to have home fries during brunch. Most of the time they are standard, extremely surprised at what I saw caramelized onion, crispy delicious home fries. An incredible Seafood Eggs Benedict.
Sunsetters is affordable and casual. It’s NFL season and they also have TV’s Inside and out to watch your favorite game. Drink specials , buckets of cold beer and local brewed spirits.
What a gorgeous place to eat Brunch. One that’s delicious has a spectacular view and is locally owned.
Whether it’s brunch, lunch or dinner. Maybe you have an event you want to host.
