What’s hot in the Daytona Beach Fire Department? A new community outreach program designed to educate, engage and interact with residents in a casual setting. Dubbed “Fries with a Firefighter,” the simple meet-and-greet will debut at the McDonalds on the corner of ISB and Tomoka Farms Road on Thursday, July 6 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Firefighters will be on hand to demonstrate life-saving CPR techniques, provide blood pressure checks, answer questions and share their french fries.
