Leaving Eden
Leaving Eden, smiling… it all started a few years ago at a place on Main Street in Daytona Beach. I photographed the band playing with Michael Allman. A love affair for the energy that was created in that moment will last a lifetime.
This year I chose to travel outside the area to photograph them approximately 1 hour away to Renegades on the River in Crescent City, Florida. I entered a packed bar and restaurant with Bikers, Families and Friends. Somehow, I always get butterflies when entering a new place to shoot but Renegades was overwhelmingly familiar even though I had never been, then Eve the lead singer saw me and well no more butterflies.
There she was killing it, already belting out song after song. The crowd was getting warmed up and the drinks were poured. The night was off to a great start. The band sure knows how to please the crowd as they untether and meander through the audience.
Slick guitar licks by Eric Gynan buzzed as they melt into the Bass driven hard by Rick Chouinard and a steady pounding beat on the drums by Jake Gynan. Add keyboards. Yes, Keyboards by the coy but strong and talented Alyssa White who as you can tell by our photos truly enjoys being on stage.
