Boss of the Sauce at Beachside Tavern.
Just not your usual Sunday as Beachside Tavern hosted the 1st Annual Boss of the Sauce to benefit the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
It was busy it was beautiful as smiling faces, laughs and full bellies were the real “Sauce of the Day”
Mark & Heather always put on great shows at their establishment. This one held a special place in my heart. On 9/11 I was headed to work and was headed to the Twin Towers for a breakfast meeting at Windows on the World. I never made it as I was stuck in traffic on the Polaski Bridge and watched as the First Tower was already engulfed in smoke.
The first responders that day included friends, the tower included friends of which paid the ultimate sacrifice.
“While we have time, let us do good”
This was a good thing so we paid our donation happily and away we ate.
For me the standout was sauce called “The Sink” a sauce that still had pork bones in for flavor.
We snapped a few fun pics and chowed down.
A great success as 100% of the proceeds went to the Charity.
Our community really stands out and shines on days like this.
